Jaclyn Talsma
Paralegal
More About Jaclyn:
My Childhood:
I was raised by my parents, Joel and Lynn, on an acreage north of Canton, South Dakota. My younger brother, Austin, and I spent a lot of time riding our bikes down gravel roads to explore neighboring creeks and groves.
My Role at EPS:
I would say I have a passion for people. I didn’t know anything about estate planning, but I prayed for a job where I could be a blessing to others. I believe the Lord made a way for me to be here.
My work:
My role allows me to serve individuals and families in a meaningful way. Not only do we help clients organize their assets and plan for their future, but our work provides peace and reassurance amidst one of the most difficult times of life. I appreciate knowing that the work I do makes a difference.
What I love about EPS:
The staff who work at EPS are kind and genuine; they truly have servant-hearts for people. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with them.
Outside of Work:
I love music and singing; I am a member of the South Dakota Symphony Chorus. I look forward to performing Handel’s Messiah every year.
I also enjoy entomology. After taking a biology elective in college, I realized I love identifying insects and seeing how each is beautifully unique. My very patient and loving husband, Justin, takes me hiking and allows me to stop and watch each different bug we come across.
My Favorites:
- Season: Autumn
- Insect: Bumblebees and Treehoppers
- Animal: Raccoons
- Quote: “If one could conclude as to the nature of the Creator from a study of creation it would appear that God has an inordinate fondness for stars and beetles.” – J.B.S. Haldane
